Canberra Raiders Cup Round 16 Wrap

Mikayla Kerin

Welcome to the Round 16 Wrap, where we are getting into the pointy end of the regular season.

Showstopper at Seffiert

In our match of the round, we had the Bushies defeat the Blues in a showstopping clash with two points the difference, thirty-four to thirty-two at Seffiert Oval.

This is now the Bushies' eighth straight win, a huge achievement for the away side who are in strong contention for the finals.

Roos Bounce Back

The Roos got back to their winning ways with a strong victory at home over the Belco Sharks, thirty-four points to eight.

The Roos forwards lineup was strong, crossing for four of their six tries in the match.

However, this win sees the Sharks slip to eighth position out of ninth, and their final contention is wearing extremely thin with only three rounds of the regular season to go.

Rams End Bulls' Finals Push

The Rams are keeping their finals contention strong against the Bulls in Woden, forty points to fourteen

Both sides were fighting hard, but it was the Rams' attack that made the difference as they hit the forty-point mark for the second week running.

However, for the Bulls, this means that they are out of contention for the 2025 finals series.

Warriors Win Away From Home

The Warriors were desperate for a much-needed win in Round 16 away from home after three straight defeats, and they did exactly that, prevailing fourteen points to eight.

This adds two crucial competition points to the Warriors and now sees them sitting in third position.

Ladder Update: Round 16

Qbn Roos: 20 points

Qbn Blues: 20 points

West Belco: 17 points

Bushies: 16 points

Woden: 13 points

Gunghalin: 10 points

Goulburn: 9 points

Sharks: 9 points

Yass: 6 points

Looking into next week…

  • We have the Bushies looking for their ninth straight win by hosting the Bulldogs at Greenway

  • We welcome the Magpies after their Round 16 bye and are looking for a win against the Sharks away from home

  • In my match of the round, we have the Roos going up against the Warriors at Seears Oval in what will be an entertaining game as the Roos look to keep their top spot

  • The Blues will host the Rams at Seffiert Oval, who are looking to keep their finals hopes alive with hopefully back-to-back wins

  • The Bulls are going into Round 17 with a much-needed bye, and we will welcome them back in Round 18 against the Roos
